‘The Launch – Spring/Summer 2011 Make-up Trends Catwalk Show’
| On Thursday October 20th, students enrolled in the Diploma of Beauty Therapy showed the college, as well as visiting family and friends their new skills in make-up application – dazzling them with creativity and impressive technical skill. Group G, H and L were asked to come up with their own take on the make-up trends set to hit town over Spring/Summer 2011. |
This required all students to research current trends and forecast what we will be seeing this year. They were asked to create mood boards, colour stories and make-up designs for the concepts to present at ‘The Launch – Spring/Summer Trends Catwalk Show’.
The results were ‘Pigments of Madagascar’ which presented some dazzling and colourful make-up concepts, as well as ‘Make-up through the Ages’ which suggested that this season we will be taking a trip down memory lane with make-up trends reflecting classic looks from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
Congratulations to all involved – make-up students, hairdressing students (for assisting with the wonderful hairstyles), educators and support (incuding Ali Housssein for sound and Martin Poole for the photography).
